DRDO Recruitment through GATE - The application forms for the DRDO Recruitment through GATE are available from March 18, 2017. The last date to apply is April 7, 2017. DRDO has announced the recruitment of Scientists ‘B’ through GATE 2015/ 2016/2017 in Physics. The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has announced the details of direct recruitment of Scientists ‘B’ on the basis of valid GATE scores. Candidates will have to apply online if they meet the specified eligibility criteria. Candidates will be required to pay an application fee (applicable to Gen/OBC NCL candidates only). Candidates who have valid GATE scores as specified by DRDO will be considered. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their GATE scores for a personal interview. Eligibility Criteria for DRDO Recruitment through GATE

Valid GATE Scores	Candidates must have valid GATE scores. Candidates who have qualified in GATE 2015 or GATE 2016 or GATE 2017 are eligible to apply.
Age Limit as on September 29, 2017	Gen Category- Not more than 28 years
	Relaxation will be applicable as follows:
	up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates,
	up to 3 years for OBC(Non Creamy Layer (NCL)) candidates
	as per existing rules for ex‐servicemen
	upto 5 years for serving Central Civilian Govt. employees working in posts which are in the same line or allied cadres as deemed by DRDO.
Education Qualification	First Class Master’s Degree in Physics or Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA/CPI of 6.75 (for a 10 point scale)
Education Qualification	For vacancies in Physics, candidates must have passed their masters in Physics Applied Physics Biophysics Nuclear Physics Medical Physics Medical Radiation Physics They must have qualified in GATE in Physics
Desirable	Knowledge of German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese

How to apply for the DRDO Recruitment through GATE

Candidates must keep the following ready before filling the online DRDO Application for Scientist 'B':

Important: The documents must be scanned in in 200dpi grey scale and in a file not exceeding 500 KB in size

· GATE 2015 / GATE 2016 /GATE 2017 Score Card

· Recent Passport size photograph scanned in a file size of less than 30 KB with a resolution of 110 x 140 pixels

· Class 11 & 12 Certificates and Marks Sheets

· Qualifying Degree or Provisional Certificate

· Marks Sheets of all semesters

· Category Certificate if applicable

· Medical Certificate in case of PwD candidates

· Ex-Servicemen Certificate if applicable

· NOC for applicants working in other Govt organizations

Application Fee to be paid online for the DRDO Recruitment through GATE: Rs 100 for General/OBC candidates. There is no application fee for SC/ST /PWD and women candidates.

How to Fill the DRDO Application Form:

· Candidates must register by entering the asked details, like Name, Email, and Mobile etc.

· They are next required to fill the personal details, academic qualification details as well as the communication details.

· Next they must upload the requisite certificates as mentioned above

· They must pay the fee and enter the details of the transaction.

· Thereafter they must submit the application form for the DRDO Recruitment through GATE.

· An acknowledgement slip will be generated.

· All applicants are advised to print a copy of the submitted application form along with the acknowledgement slip that is generated.

Selection Procedure for DRDO Recruitment through GATE

The Recruitment Assessment Center (RAC) of DRDO will shortlist candidates on the basis of the GATE scores.
